About Us

K Design began in 2007 after recognising a gap in the market for well-designed, quality products with a distinctly New Zealand feel.

Starting with a small collection of placemats and coasters, we soon expanded into tea towels and aprons. As the business grew, so did our range, with an increasing focus on locally created artwork inspired by New Zealand’s landscapes, wildlife and character.

Today, K Design offers a diverse collection of products sourced both locally and from trusted suppliers overseas. From homewares and gifts to our incredibly popular paperweight figurines and pin badges, our focus remains on creating products that are distinctive, practical and unmistakably New Zealand.

K Design is based in Christchurch and run by Kaz and her husband. Living within easy reach of the beautiful Southern Alps, they’re never far from the things they love — skiing, tramping, cycling and travelling. That connection to New Zealand and the outdoors continues to inspire the K Design range today.
